Job summary

Nordstrom seeks a strategic S2P leader to develop and execute the multi-year source-to-pay roadmap, guiding AI-enabled procurement initiatives across Finance, Legal and Product teams. You will own the Coupa S2P platform, drive adoption, and deliver insights from procurement data to inform executive decisions.

• Robust ownership of S2P/ procure-to-pay software like Coupa, Workday, SAP or Ariba.
• Experience applying AI/automation in a source-to-pay system.
• Experience leading technical teams and influencing senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, controls and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and implement the multi-year S2P strategy and roadmap aligned to the Strategic Plan.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of S2P system admins; build skills in platform configuration and AI.
• Own Nordstrom's Coupa S2P platform: roadmap, releases, configuration, contracts, supplier relationships and AI.
• Identify AI and automation use cases across S2P (inflow, sourcing, contracts, supplier onboarding, invoice matching, spend analytics).
• Influence VPs and cross-functional partners to align priorities and tradeoffs.
• Lead cross-functional work with Technology, Legal, Product and Finance to improve S2P with efficiency and controls.
• Act as S2P operations authority: prioritize system requests and provide procedural guidance.
• Lead change management and adoption; train teams and suppliers on new tools.
• Deliver reporting and insights on operational procurement metrics.
• Evaluate emerging S2P and AI tech; decide build, buy or partner.
• Own the controls for the S2P system and process.

Job Description

This role develops, leads and implements Nordstrom's Source-to-Pay (S2P) strategy for an AI-enabled future. It leads the S2P systems team and sets the roadmap for how AI, automation and data change the way we source, contract, buy and pay, in support of Nordstrom's Sourcing and Procurement Strategic Plan. This role requires significant engagement with leaders across the company, including VP partners in Finance, Technology, Legal, Product and the business. It turns strategy into working solutions with the right controls, while also supporting the day-to-day systems and process needs of the Strategic Sourcing team.

• This role is Hybrid and will require you to be in office in downtown Seattle, WA 4 days per week.

A Day In The Life

• Develop, lead and implement the multi-year S2P strategy and roadmap, aligned to the Sourcing and Procurement Strategic Plan
• Lead, coach and develop a team of S2P system administrators; build the team's skills in platform configuration, automation and applied AI
• Serve as functional owner of Nordstrom's Coupa source-to-pay platform, including roadmap, releases, configuration, contract, supplier relationship and AI capabilities
• Identify and prioritize AI and automation use cases across the S2P process (such as intake, sourcing events, contract review, supplier onboarding, invoice matching and spend analytics), starting with high-volume, rules-based work; guide Technology and the S2P system administrators who build them
• Be a driver, collaborator and influencer within Finance and across the enterprise; regularly advise and present to VPs and build alignment on priorities and tradeoffs
• Lead cross-functional work with Technology, Legal, Product and Finance to improve S2P, with an eye toward efficiency, automation, user experience and appropriate controls
• Act as the S2P operations authority: set how system requests are prioritized, give procedural guidance to partners, and keep the process connected end to end
• Lead change management and adoption, including communication and training, so teams and suppliers use new tools and ways of working
• Develop and deliver reporting and meaningful business insights on operational procurement metrics
• Evaluate emerging S2P and AI technology, and recommend when to build, buy or partner
• Own the controls for the S2P system and process

You Own This If You Have

• Bachelor's Degree in an accounting, business, engineering, supply chain, technology, or related discipline. MBA or related advanced degree preferred
• Eight (8) years of proven experience in increasingly broader procurement operations or procurement technology roles with a consistent track record of achievement and source-to-pay transformation in high-growth environments
• Significant demonstrated "functional ownership" experience with robust source-to-pay or procure-to-pay software solutions such as Coupa (preferred), Workday, SAP, Ariba, or similar
• Experience applying or piloting AI or automation in a source-to-pay system, with a practical view of where human judgment stays in the loop
• Experience leading and developing technical teams, such as system administrators or business systems analysts
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, including VPs, lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, and drive adoption of change
• Track record of developing and implementing strategies and roadmaps that deliver results
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, practices, and control frameworks
• Working knowledge of the contracting process, and experience partnering with Sourcing, Vendor Management, and other Procurement teams
• Advanced analytical skills, with financial acumen and strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand, organize and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences, with excellent communication and facilitation skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$141,500.00 - $233,500.00 Annual
