Annapurna Labs, an integral part of AWS, seeks a Sr. Software Development Manager to lead the team building the EC2 network stack for distributed AI/ML and HPC workloads.

You will guide engineers in systems programming, network and RDMA, HW/SW co-design, coordinating with NVIDIA ML stacks and CI/CD for EFA host stack components to ensure delivery of high‑scale features. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and mentoring across concurrent Agile programs.

Description

We are hiring a Sr. Software Development Manager for the team that owns major parts of the network stack for EC2 distributed AI/ML and HPC systems. The team is also responsible for development and maintenance of the CI/CD framework for the EFA ML and HPC Host stack components.

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager with multiple years of hands‑on experience in systems programming, understanding of networks, RDMA , HPC and HW/SW co‑design, Experience with the NVIDIA stack, ML applications, and frameworks will be highly regarded. You'll be directing work to ensure the teams deliver functions and features required for the latest and largest ML workloads.

The organization you would be joining is Annapurna Labs, an integral part of AWS that develops hardware and software components that are critical building blocks for EC2 infrastructure. Every instance in EC2 is running some type of hardware designed by Annapurna Labs. We specialize in designing software, systems, and chips that optimize the AWS customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience partnering with product and program management teams
• Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
