A day in the life

You’ll spend your time balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on technical engagement. Your day might include architecting solutions for distributed file system challenges, mentoring engineering leaders on complex technical decisions, and collaborating with peer teams across AWS Storage to advance cloud infrastructure capabilities. You’ll participate in design reviews for critical components like metadata management and storage tiering, then shift to performance calibration conversations with your team leads. You’ll also dedicate time to understanding customer needs and translating them into roadmap priorities, ensuring your teams are building solutions that matter at scale.

About the team

We are a team of engineers and technical leaders committed to building foundational cloud storage infrastructure that powers some of the world's most demanding workloads. Our vision is to make elastic file storage seamlessly scalable, reliable, and accessible to organizations of all sizes. We serve customers ranging from startups experimenting with containerised workloads to enterprises managing petabytes of data, and your leadership will help shape how we evolve to meet their changing needs.
