Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX is seeking a Sr Manager - Quality to lead and scale the Quality function in a fast-growing MTO/ETO manufacturing environment. The role focuses on customer, supplier, and internal quality to deliver complex, customized products with zero defects.

You will build a high‑performing QA team, drive RCA, FMEA, audits, and defect reduction, implement an ISO-based QMS, and foster accountability and continuous improvement across multi‑shift production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality leadership within industrial manufacturing (MTO/ETO or complex assembly preferred).
• Experience scaling a quality function in a growth environment.
• Strong experience in customer quality and supplier quality management; RCA, FMEA, audits, and defect reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality across customers, suppliers, and operations.
• Scale a high-performing quality organization for rapid growth and multi‑shift production.
• Drive accountability, root cause ownership, and continuous improvement; strong audit performance.
• Lead customer-facing quality (SLAs, audits, performance reviews).
• Build a robust supplier quality program (qualification, audits, performance management).
• Strengthen QMS execution in a high-mix / low-volume environment; ensure ISO-based discipline.

Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Sr Manager - Quality is responsible for leading and scaling our Quality function in a fast‑growing, make‑to‑order / engineer‑to‑order (MTO/ETO) industrial manufacturing environment. This is a high‑impact leadership role responsible for customer quality, supplier quality, and internal quality performance — ensuring we deliver complex, customized products with consistency, speed, and zero defects.

What a typical day looks like:

• End-to-end Quality leadership across customers, suppliers, and operations
• Scaling a high‑performing Quality organization to support rapid growth and multi‑shift production
• Driving a culture of accountability, root cause ownership, and continuous improvement
• Leading customer‑facing quality (escalations, SLAs, audits, performance reviews)
• Building a robust Supplier Quality program (qualification, audits, performance management)
• Strengthening execution in a manually intensive, high‑mix / low‑volume environment
• Ensuring a scalable QMS (ISO‑based) with strong audit performance and process discipline.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 10+ years in Quality leadership within industrial manufacturing (MTO/ETO or complex assembly preferred)
• Proven success building or scaling a Quality function in a growth environment
• Strong experience in customer quality and supplier quality management
• Expertise in RCA (8D), FMEA, auditing, and defect reduction
• Lean / Six Sigma experience (Black Belt a plus)
• Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree or related experience
• A hands‑on leader and mentor who develops teams and drives measurable outcomes.
