Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Manager of Program Management for our Busbar and Switchgear Business, a high-visibility leadership role overseeing multiple customer projects and coordinating with PMO, sales, operations, purchasing, field services and finance to ensure on-time delivery from order acknowledgement to startup.

The role requires directing project managers, developing execution plans, managing risks, and fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers across a matrix

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5–7 years of project management experience.
• Experience delivering significant value projects in Manufacturing & Engineering for strategic customers.
• Prior PM experience; construction PM is a plus.
• Prior power distribution equipment experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with executives in a matrix environment.
• Self-starter capable of driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of project managers and project coordinators to ensure effective delivery and execution of projects.
• Works with the PMO to help define and develop methods and procedures and institute best practices.
• Define the required project scope of work and all tasks required to deliver; coordinate with functional group leaders to develop execution plans.
• Coordinate with Order Management, plant production, Logistics, contractors, services and warranty groups throughout the project, serving as primary point of escalation for conflicts.
• Follow reporting and tracking processes; track project reporting and KPIs; document meeting notes and follow through to completion.
• Ensure service and delivery execution and delivery of contract requirements and customer expectations through cross-functional management.
• Identify project risks and accompanying risk mitigation plan; communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path; drive short- and long-term resolutions.
• Build, develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders (customers, contractors, suppliers).
• Collaborate with cross-functional operations teams to ensure service and delivery execution.

POSITIONSUMMARY

Vertivishiringa Manager of ProgramManagement forour Busbar and Switchgear Business.Thisisahighlyvisibleandcriticalleadershiprolethatis responsible for managing multiple key customer projects and liaising with the project management team to drive communication and coordination between external partners for our data center customer base (customers, general contractors, site personnel, suppliers) and internally across departments(Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Field Services, and Finance) to deliver exceptional customer service and on-time delivery for our customers from order acknowledgement to equipment startup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a team of projects managers and project coordinators to ensure effective delivery and execution of projects.
• WorkswiththeProjectManagementOffice(PMO)tohelp defineanddevelopmethodsandproceduresandinstitutebest practices. Ensures all procedures are enforced on projects.
• Definetherequiredprojectscopeofworkandalltasksrequiredtodeliver.Collaboratewithfunctional group leaders to develop project execution plans. Coordinates with Order Management, plant production, Logistics, contractors,servicesandwarrantygroupsthroughouttheproject,servingasprimarypointofescalationforpotential conflicts to avoid impact to the customer.
