Senior Manager - Insurance Product Design, Auto - Remote

Your Role

Provides strategic direction and develops long-range plans for a major organizational area, ensuring controls, standards, and objectives are met across earnings, finances, product quality, performance management, operational efficiencies, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the product portfolio and lifecycle for the division or business unit.
  2. Drive product development and innovation, focusing on high-value or high-potential products.
  3. Develop policies and guidelines, overseeing their implementation through subordinate staff.
  4. Analyze market dynamics and competitive environment to inform product strategies.
  5. Partner with IT to ensure operational excellence and requirements fulfillment.
  6. Manage division or enterprise-wide projects.
Financial and Operational Leadership
  1. Establish and oversee budgets for high-value, high-growth products.
  2. Set operational objectives and lead teams to meet them.
Strategic Innovation and Growth
  1. Develop long-term plans impacting major organizational areas.
  2. Consult with senior management on future product strategies.
  3. Engage with top management, including the board of directors.
Market Execution
  1. Implement policies, procedures, and product specifications.
  2. Make strategic decisions to achieve business goals.
Leadership and Team Development
  1. Mentor and lead product management staff.
  2. Handle hiring, performance management, and development initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with 3-5 years leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of product profitability, sales, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with telematics, auto rating segmentation, and agile environments.
  • Relevant insurance credentials such as FCAS, ACAS, or related designations.
