We are actively seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Content & Data to join our team located in Dedham, MA.
The Sr. Manager, Product Content & Data plays a pivotal role in shaping how AliMed's products are represented and discoverable across digital channels. This cross-functional role bridges product messaging, digital merchandising hierarchy, and product data management - ensuring consistency, accuracy, and customer-centric organization of 17,000+ SKUs across our eCommerce ecosystem, syndication feeds, and internal systems. This role is central to evolving AliMed's legacy catalog model into a modern digital-first commerce experience. The ideal candidate blends strong product storytelling skills with a data-driven mindset and works closely with product management, digital marketing, IT, and MarTech teams to support our growth and operational excellence goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Content
- Partner with Product Marketing & Digital to write, edit, and optimize product names, feature bullets, short and long descriptions for eCommerce and channel syndication
- Ensure product content aligns with brand tone, regulatory requirements, and customer search behavior
- Partner with Product Marketing and Product Management to maintain clear value propositions
- Optimize content to improve conversion rates, enhance SEO performance, and meet specific requirements of each channel
- Lead efforts to automate content enrichment and optimization workflows for greater efficiency and consistency
Product Data Management
- Own product taxonomy, attributes, and categorization logic within Salsify PIM to support SEO, searchability, and browse behavior across digital platforms and experiences
- Partner with the ERP team to influence and interpret upstream data from D365 into PIM and downstream systems
- Maintain and evolve the product data dictionary and attribute framework to ensure scalable, clean data governance
- Collaborate with the DAM Business Administrator (title TBD) to enable PIM/DAM integration for imagery, supporting delivery to syndication channels
- Serve as business administrator for Salsify PIM, including user access management, workflow configuration/maintenance, and function as Subject Matter Expert and trainer for cross-functional users
Cross-Platform Syndication Support
- Maintain governance over channel-specific content requirements and ensure readiness and compliance for each PIM target syndication endpoint (Shopify Plus, Google Shopping, Amazon, and other digital commerce platforms)Oversee content readiness for feeds into Shopify Plus, Google Shopping, Amazon, and other digital commerce platforms
- Collaborate with the digital marketing and merchandising teams to ensure accurate tagging, filtering, and display logic
- Support metadata optimization for search, filtering, and product recommendations via tools like Klevu
Collaboration & Governance
- Serve as a key business partner to the Digital Merchandising, MarTech, and IT teams
- Document all changes to taxonomy, attributes, and SOPs; ensure cross-functional awareness and adoption of changes
- Help define best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for content and data hygiene
- Proactively identify data gaps and opportunities to improve customer experience and conversion
- Represent product data in the Data Governance Council and ensure alignment with AliMed data standards
- Ensure content and data-related workstreams align with AliMed's data governance framework and project intake processes.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years in product content, digital merchandising, or product data roles
- Proven experience with PIM systems (preferably Salsify) and ERP integration (e.g., Microsoft D365)
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify Plus preferred), SEO, and product discoverability best practices
- Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to balance technical accuracy with customer-focused language
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced, digitally transforming organization
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented with a big-picture mindset
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Healthcare/Medical Supplies experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to >10 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
- Limited travel.
