Job summary

Dave & Buster's Senior Manager of Operational Finance will own budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for field operations. You will partner with F&B, Ops, and Special Events to provide timely data for discussions and decisions, and drive process improvements for financial controls and efficiency.

You will lead FP&A processes, monitor variances, and present insights to senior management, aligning financial strategies with business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CPA/CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in field operations or multi-unit restaurant/retail.
  • Experience partnering with and measuring sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Hyperion) is a plus.
  • Experience with dashboard systems (Power BI) is a plus.

Welcome to the Fun! As the Senior Manager of Operational Finance, you will:

  • Be a key partner to the business, owning key parts of the P&L from a budgeting, forecasting, & analysis standpoint.
  • Partner with other departments such as F&B, Ops, & Special Events to provide timely data that facilitates great discussion and business decisions.
  • Understand field performance, key drivers of results, and speak to variances.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial process and implement change.

You will need to be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and cross-functional partnering skills. Attention to detail and the ability to solve ad-hoc questions are key! The detailed responsibilities below will align with Dave & Buster’s or Main Event field operations!

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial planning processes for field operations.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and KPI to provide insights and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business initiatives.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for field operations.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, work with business partners to provide explanations.
  • Work closely with operational teams to develop accurate budget projections.

Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure field teams are completing necessary budgeting and forecasting responsibilities timely
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor other finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional development.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports for field operations to senior management.
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, and trends to relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as needed for decision-making purposes.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Implement best practices and streamline financial workflows.
  • Drive initiatives to automate manual processes where applicable.
Requirements
