Overview
Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement — Remote
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement to lead and accelerate operational excellence across multiple site locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying/standing up the SHOP operating model to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency within our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in a multi-site environment.
Responsibilities
- Support RVP & Director of Continuous Improvement in driving CI within assigned sites.
- Execute SHOP to enhance Safety, Quality, Productivity and Service across multiple sites.
- Utilize KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of improvement efforts.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Coach/mentor site CI and Operations personnel on SHOP, GAP closure, and problem-solving techniques/methodologies to drive CI.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, execute projects to resolve top opportunities and track action plans through completion.
- Collaborate with other CI and Operations leaders to identify benchmarking opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to Site Directors and teams in implementing lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align continuous improvement efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; or 10+ years in a business improvement role at a manager level.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodology, and/or IWS/TPM process improvement methodologies.
- Results oriented with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from a variety of sources.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously typically working with multiple teams.
- Ability to see the big picture translating details into an organizational perspective.
- Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to lead, manage and implement organizational and cultural change to deliver results.
- Excellent conflict resolution and solution-focused problem-solving skills (creativity before capital).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, Infinity QS, etc.).
- Willingness to travel to multiple site locations as needed (50 - 80%).
