Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sr. Manager of Brand Protection and eCommerce Compliance to lead our strategic efforts to protect ProDriven brand integrity across digital channels. This leader will be responsible for driving thought leadership and disciplined execution in areas of Internet Reseller Authorization, MAP Pricing Policies, and third-party (3P) platform seller governance—particularly on Amazon. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex compliance ecosystems, aligning cross-functional teams, managing digital seller networks and serving as a brand guardian both internally and externally.

Presently this position is in a hybrid status with a minimum of 3 days/week in the office for collaboration, teamwork, and business needs. The status and minimum in-office requirements are subject to change based on evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Thought Leadership & Strategy Development

  • Serve as the internal and external thought leader for Internet Reseller Authorization and Unauthorized Seller Enforcement.
  • Act as the “face” of the Internet Reseller and Unilateral Advertised Price (UAP) policies and programs to internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers.
  • Shape and evolve the company’s 3P eCommerce strategy, especially regarding Amazon Marketplace (3P) presence, brand protection program enforcement, and seller relations.
  • Lead ProDriven Brand Protection Committee, routinely reporting status of programs and making recommendations for improvements or challenge resolution.

UAP & Authorization Policy Management

  • Lead the management and continuous improvement of the UAP and Internet Reseller Programs overall, and drive for continuous optimization and efficiency in enforcement process.
  • Design and oversee internal processes and communication strategies to ensure policy alignment and enforcement consistency across sellers.
  • Maintain price lists and holiday promotional calendars. Provide consultative support to cross functional partners in development of price list and promotional strategies and mitigate channel conflict risks.

External Partner Oversight

  • Manage relationships with key external enforcement and compliance partners, including internet monitoring and authorization portal vendors.
  • Optimize functionality of existing platforms to drive efficiency of enforcement actions and evaluate and onboard new partners as needed to expand brand protection capabilities as the digital landscape evolves.

Amazon Marketplace & 3P Platform Management

  • Oversee Amazon Brand Registry for Authorized Sellers and ensure 3P Seller actions in Seller Central are aligned to brand protection objectives, ensure control of our brand assets, protect intellectual property and deliver quality online experience representative of ProDriven’s market-leading brands.
  • Monitor and manage third-party sellers, taking enforcement action as necessary to preserve channel and brand integrity and acquiescence with ProDriven pricing policies.
  • Lead the creation and optimization of branded storefronts, including for Werner Climbing, Werner Fall Protection, and Knaack.

Legal Liaison & Compliance Governance

  • Serve as primary liaison to internal and retained external Legal teams, ensuring brand protection policies and enforcement actions align with applicable laws and risk mitigation best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on escalated enforcement actions, cease and desist communications, and litigation strategies as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Channel Marketing and Product Marketing teams to ensure policies support and align with business goals.
  • Provide training and education to internal teams and distributors on compliance policies and enforcement practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics preferred or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in brand protection, eCommerce compliance, channel or trade marketing, product marketing, category management, or data analytics. Prior experience running a Brand Protection program at a manufactured goods company is preferred, e.g. consumer electronics, fashion/apparel brand, hand/power tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage one direct report
  • Demonstrated results enforcing MAP policies and experience with internet and price monitoring & enforcement platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the Amazon Marketplace, online unauthorized seller dynamics, and digital IP enforcement.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail, disciplined organization skills, and ability to work with complex data sets. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience working with or with legal counsel on IP protection and brand protection enforcement strategies.
  • Experience managing branded storefronts and optimizing content for eCommerce performance.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of industrial or safety product industries is a plus.

Salary Range:

$124,000 - $171,000

The pay range listed is for Illinois based roles. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skill sets, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, training, and location.
