Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Experience in elevator industry or field operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, and technical direction to Modernization staff and field teams.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and drivers; report findings with corrective actions.
• Monitor field tests, first inspections, and data reports to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with field teams to diagnose equipment issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Analyze complaint trends and implement solutions to prevent systemic issues.
• Drive operational excellence with accountability across Modernization field Operations.
• Develop recommendations for product designs and performance requirements.
• Ensure quality of all modernizations within the Operating Area.

Sr Manager, Modernization

Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Sr Manager, Modernization to provide direction, support, and leadership for all Modernization field operations within the Central region.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, and technical direction to Modernization employees and field operations staff, including support for large bids
• Analyze office‑level financial results, identify variances and drivers, report and support findings with corrective actions
• Monitor field tests as well as first inspection and data reports
• Collaborate with field teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues and critical customer concerns, ensuring operational continuity and customer satisfaction
• Analyze complaint trends and implement solutions to address systemic issues and enforce adherence to estimated schedules
• Champion operational excellence through process accountability across the Modernization field Operations team within the Operating Area
• Develop and communicate recommendations for product designs and performance requirements
• Responsible for the quality of all modernizations in the Operating Area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years elevator industry experience required
• Management experience required
• Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
• Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
• Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
• Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software
• Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
