Summary

The purpose of the Sr. Manager Learning & Development, Supply Chain and Operations serves to optimize learning objectives and materials to enhance the associate learning experience including New Hire Onboarding, Ramp In, and ongoing skill development. The Sr. Manager Learning & Development, SC&OPS assists in the development and delivery of the Learning and Development Strategy for Supply Chain and Operations. This east coast, remote-based position reports to the Director of Learning and Development, Supply Chain and Operations and requires up to 50% travel. This Sr. Manager opportunity offers a competitive base salary, generous incentive program, and excellent benefits.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with creating diverse learning experiences across different modalities, including blended learning solutions, live programs, remote learning programs, eLearning programs.
  • Create/oversee project plans for training programs, detailing timelines, milestones, required resources, and deliverables including end-to-end management of extended cohort programs and supporting plant-level rollout and management of programs.
  • Manage day-to-day activities related to developing content and delivering training.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and oversee evaluations for individual programs/initiatives.
  • Drive the creation of technical content, technical training curriculum, and technical learning objectives for associate training.
  • Drive the creation and management of skill demonstration and confirmation systems and processes.
  • Manage logistical aspects of live and Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) / Virtual Workshops, ensuring seamless & impactful learning experiences.
  • Develop and execute end-user training of learning technologies and related tools to enable adoption and reduce time to value across the network.
  • Build deep relationships that facilitate cross-functional collaboration across functions and practices and supports local plant trainers and instructors, optimizing their contributions to meet enterprise needs.
  • Manage projects & ensure they are completed on time and to required quality standards.
  • Continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Research and offer suggestions for new vendors and internal subject matter experts to continually improve department offerings.
  • Stay informed of latest trends in L&D. Integrate innovative training approaches and identify suitable vendors.
  • Provide analysis of learning-related Root Cause Analysis and Gap Analysis results and designs appropriate learning interventions and strategies.
Experience Requirements
  • 10 (Ten)+ years of relevant professional development experience required.
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and also take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to deliver engaging presentations to various audiences and classroom management skills.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Experience Preferred
  • Highly skilled in a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Design and implement effective training and development programs that align with the organizational mission and goals.
  • Experience designing and presenting training programs to Executive Teams, Director of Operations and Senior-Level Managers at the plants.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, Instructional Design, or a similar certification.
  • Proficient with e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience using Alchemy LMS and Alchemy Coach.
  • Active ATD Member.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
