Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth is seeking a senior Labor Analysis leader to guide labor cost strategy and provide economic insights for negotiations with employee groups.

You will manage a team, develop labor models, and partner with Labor Relations, HR, Benefits, and Legal to prepare Board packages and support executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of previous work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • MBA preferred; 3 years of prior management experience helpful.
  • Airline/travel industry and/or financial analysis/accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be an on-site financial/economic expert during negotiations.
  • Lead bi-weekly updates to the CFO and SVP Finance.
  • Manage team which develops and maintains detailed economic labor models, track and interpret financial and operational metrics related to American and other peer airline labor groups.
  • Work closely with multiple departments throughout the company including Labor Relations, Crew Resources, Benefits, HR, and Legal.
  • Write Board of Directors packages justifying new labor agreements.

  • This role will provide strategic and economic direction to Senior Management pertaining to labor contract negotiations, employee compensation and benefits, industry labor cost and policy comparisons, and other internal consulting projects related to American's 100,000+ employees.
  • The role is a part of the Labor Analysis team within our Finance division.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 7 years of previous work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • MBA
  • 3 years of prior management experience
  • Airline/travel industry and/or financial analysis/accounting experience preferred

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Strong PC and MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
  • Strong experience with financial modeling and anlysis
