Your Role: The Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for overseeing IT performance measurement and the development and implementation of IT governance frameworks. This role ensures alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives and promotes transparency in IT operations. Additionally, the leader manages vendor relationships and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Your work:

  • CIO Dashboards & Operational Metrics

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide transparency into IT’s execution performance and operational health.

  • Define and track key operational and delivery performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Leverage insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

OKR Definitions & Business Objective Mapping

  • Partner with IT leadership to define IT objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring alignment with enterprise and business goals.

  • Map IT goals and initiatives to strategic and operational objectives, providing transparency into progress and value realization.

  • Foster a culture of accountability and performance measurement within IT.

IT Governance Frameworks & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure effective and efficient IT operations.

  • Implement standardized tools and processes to support IT governance objectives and ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead IT audit readiness efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, partnering with internal and external auditors to address compliance gaps.

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies across IT governance areas, aligning the operating model with evolving business needs and industry best practices.

Vendor Governance & Relationship Management

  • Establish and manage vendor governance structures to ensure effective partnerships and oversee vendor performance, risk assessments, and contract adherence.

  • Collaborate with procurement and IT leaders to optimize vendor relationships and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure vendor effectiveness.

  • Ensure vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations, driving continuous improvement in vendor performance and value delivery.

Leadership and Culture Stewardship:

  • Create a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe environment, demonstrating authenticity and fostering trust to inspire and empower team members and colleagues.

  • Actively shape our company culture through words and actions (e.g., sponsoring an employee resource group, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional committee / team, encouraging team member involvement in these activities).

  • Model our Core Beliefs and champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: interviewing candidates, building relationships with team members, etc.).

  • Deliver our strategy through an enterprise lens, staying informed of key enterprise initiatives, industry trends, and business results.

  • Demonstrate a company ownership mindset, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area.

  • Travel as needed for role, including enterprise meetings, divisional / team meetings, representing the company at industry events, and other in-person meetings.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operational performance management, IT governance, or related roles.

  • Extensive experience in defining and tracking KPIs and IT metrics for performance reporting.

  • Strong background in trend analysis, risk and opportunity identification, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to effectively use data to tell stories, inform and influence decision-making, and drive accountability.

  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard development.

  • Strong understanding of goals development and OKR methodology, and creating strategic alignment to enterprise objectives.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks, policies, and compliance programs.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using dashboards and metrics to drive continuous improvement.

  • Experience in vendor performance management and vendor governance, with a focus on supplier optimization.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster a culture of accountability and performance measurement within IT.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing complex IT contracts.
