Role Description
- Individual will report to the Finance Director, Enabling Functions, and serve as the Finance Partner for certain enabling functions, primarily Global Strategy, Global Commercial Development, Business Development, External Innovation, and Global Medical Affairs.
- Individual will contribute insights into the long-term strategic direction of these functions and participate in their respective Leadership Teams.
- Responsible for accurate accounting of the functions, ensuring precise financial reporting, planning, variance analysis, and understanding of business drivers communicated to senior leadership.
- Manage continuous improvements to financial systems and processes to keep pace with business evolution, including monitoring KPIs and key metrics.
Responsibilities
- Implement sound financial processes to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the Operating Plan, forecasts, monthly results, and other financial submissions in partnership with relevant teams.
- Present business results, financial projections, and analyses to senior management; participate in business reviews and communicate financial implications of strategies.
- Enhance financial acumen within leadership, especially on critical accounting matters like expense recognition, acquisitions, and external deals.
- Identify risks and opportunities, provide insights, and support decision-making to meet financial objectives, including resource optimization and working capital management.
- Serve as a financial advisor to leadership, monitor business performance, and proactively address issues and opportunities.
- Support internal controls and assist with internal and external audits in collaboration with Corporate Controllers.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, articulating Zoetis' positions clearly.
Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience)
Education
- University degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) or MBA is advantageous.
Experience
- 7-10+ years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in the Animal Health industry is a plus.
- Proven experience leading change in dynamic environments.
