Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Sr Manager, Finance in Niceville, FL. This on-site leadership role performs a variety of financial activities including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections, and develops financial plans and controls.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree with 7–8 years of experience (or equivalent) and is proficient in Microsoft Office. Travel up to 25% may be expected as part of this senior finance position.

Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
• Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company.
• Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced.
• Oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets.
• Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions with concurrence from HR Directors & General Managers.

• Manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
• Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company.
• Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced.
• Oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets.
• Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.

Physical Requirements
