This is a senior leadership role accountable for the strategy, structure, and performance of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). The role directs the Enterprise PMO and Domain PMO Project Managers, including setting priorities, developing talent, and holding the team accountable for the delivery of enterprise-level projects from initiation through execution. This role owns the enterprise project portfolio end to end: assisting the EPMO leader in prioritizing initiatives against organizational strategy, managing executive and cross-functional stakeholders, and developing the business case for proposed investments. This role also helps manage the organization’s project management operating model and is responsible for the Smartsheet relationship, a single standardized intake process, and the governance, documentation, and continuous improvement of EPMO practices. This person will lead a small portfolio of the organization’s high-profile, high-impact projects from ideation through execution, and leads the IT finance function, including monthly P&L reviews and the annual budgeting process. The role is accountable for the ongoing management and performance of the Enterprise and Domain Projects Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
EPMO & Domain PMO Leadership
  • Direct and lead the Enterprise PMO and Domain PMO Project Managers, holding the team accountable for enterprise projects from initiation through execution.
  • Own the intake and ongoing evolution of the EPMO and Domain project management PMs, including roles, methodology, and standards applied consistently across the organization.
  • Drive accountability and performance of EPMO and Domain Project Managers through Steering Committee (Steerco) engagement, project execution and weekly status reporting; coach and develop the team’s project management capability.
Resource & Capacity Management
  • Establish and maintain a resource capacity planning process across the EPMO and Domain PMOs, ensuring project demand is matched with available staffing and surfacing constraints to leadership.
  • Partner with functional leaders to forecast resourcing needs for upcoming initiatives and inform staffing and hiring decisions accordingly.
Portfolio Prioritization & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage the prioritization of the enterprise project portfolio alongside the VP of EPMO, including cross-functional stakeholder management and the development of business cases for proposed initiatives alongside finance.
  • Partner with the VP of EPMO to align project priorities with EPMO strategy and available resourcing, representing the EPMO at the executive level.
  • Define and oversee the enterprise project portfolio’s risk and issue management framework, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, mitigated, and escalated to executive leadership in a timely manner.
Project Management & Intake Process
  • Own the Smartsheet relationship and the Smartsheet process enterprise-wide, including the development and refinement of a single, standardized project intake process across the organization.
  • Manage project intake and assignment of PMs through Smartsheet, and maintain the overall log of projects in Smartsheet
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures across the EPMO Domain and Enterprise PMs, including documentation and governance.
  • Establish and maintain project management methodology and standards appropriate to project type, ensuring consistent adoption across EPMO and Domain Project Managers.
Reporting & Portfolio Analytics
  • Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and KPIs (e.g., scope, schedule, and budget performance) to give leadership ongoing visibility into overall portfolio health.
  • Lead weekly PM reviews on project status, risks and timelines.
Strategic Project Leadership
  • Lead a small portfolio of the organization’s high profile, high impact projects from ideation through execution, serving as the senior point of escalation and decision-making authority.
  • Partner with business owners to track benefits realization post-implementation, ensuring delivered projects achieve their intended business value.
IT Finance and Incident Management
  • Own the IT finance function, including monthly P&L reviews and the annual budgeting process, with accountability for financial performance against plan.
  • Develop, in conjunction with VP leadership, the budget and understand monthly fluctuations.
  • Serve as escalation lead for Incident Command for the IT organization; includes reviewing and assigning incidents to the right leaders, as well as identifying incidents that need leadership approval
Minimum Qualifications:
