Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Demand Forecasting & Strategic Planning Lead to manage one of our major accounts in mobile business. This role will oversee end to end planning, including demand forecasting, sell-in and sell-out management and financial risk analysis to optimize performance against sales targets. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration to drive decision-making and ensure growth, sales performance, and operational excellence. This role requires occasional work outside standard business hours to support the weekly system loading process.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead overall mid/long-term planning, ensuring alignment with business target.
  • Demand Forecasting & Analytics: Develop data-driven demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional impact analyses.
  • Sell-in and sell-out Optimization: Track sales trends across channels to refine inventory planning and maximize sell-through efficiency, considering the supply situation.
  • Promotion Plan Integration: Evaluate upcoming promotional campaigns, incorporating the impact into demand forecasts.
  • Market Share & Competitive Analysis: Analyze external market trends and competitor positioning to inform forecasting strategies.
  • Financial Risk & Opportunity assessment: Identify financial risks and growth opportunities, ensuring targets are met through data-driven decision-making.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, finance, and sales teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Generate reports detailing forecast accuracy, sales performance comparing target, and promotional impact; continuously refine forecasting methods.
  • Technology & Automation: Utilize forecasting software and AI-driven tools to improve prediction accuracy and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or sales analytics in the mobile or technology industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting tools, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Experience working with large datasets, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
