This position has been segmented "Remote Anywhere" meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.
The Sr Manager, Data and Analytics SBS, plays a critical role in supporting the execution of US Foods’ data and analytics strategy within the Shared Business Services (SBS) organization. Reporting to the Director, Data and Analytics SBS, this position will lead a team of ~4-6 analysts and/or specialists and be accountable for delivering actionable insights, ensuring data quality and reporting accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement in analytics operations. The manager will serve as a key partner to internal functions including Finance, Operations, IT, and Commercial teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

People Leadership & Talent Development (30%)

  • Manage and coach a team of data analysts and/or reporting specialists, ensuring clarity of objectives and strong execution.

  • Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous development through regular feedback, coaching, and career growth planning.

  • Build trust and confidence throughout organization by fostering partnerships displayed through strong data analysis, accurate financing reporting, and governance structure over data.

  • Ensure expectations of team members are clearly defined and associates are held accountable to deliver results while providing regular feedback to develop talent and embrace our core values.

Analytics & Reporting Execution (40%)

  • Lead the development and delivery of reporting packages, dashboards, and performance metrics that inform key business decisions.

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable analytics, particularly in areas impacting financial close, customer service, or operational performance.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed data-driven insights into ongoing processes and strategic initiatives.

Data Governance & Operational Excellence (15%)

  • Support implementation of master data governance policies and ensure team compliance with data quality standards.

  • Monitor and continuously improve service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and other performance metrics across areas of responsibility.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for standardization and process improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement (10%)

  • Serve as a liaison between analytics resources and business partners, translating needs into scalable solutions.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with Finance, IT, Commercial teams, and Managed Services Providers to align on priorities and data requirements.

Personal Development (5%)

  • Create, refine, and execute individual development plan to grow within role or prepare for other opportunities.

  • Engage in opportunities to learn and network both internally and externally to develop a well-rounded perspective and bring best in class practices to the role.

  • Pursue personal and learning development opportunities such as Employee Resource Groups (ERG), LMS courses, webinars, etc.

SUPERVISION:

  • Directly supervises up to 10 team members

  • May serve as dotted-line lead to offshore or Managed Services resources

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: SBS Functions, IT, I&A, Sales Leadership, Field Finance, Category Management, Replenishment, Pricing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting and Finance

  • External: US Foods Managed Service Provider, Technology Partners

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 years of progressive experience in data analytics, financial reporting, or master data management.

  • 4 years’ experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Sigma) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).

  • 3 years of experience in people management or team leadership roles with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate complex data into business recommendations.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting processes and controls, including period close activities.

  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Alteryx).

  • Up to 10% travel required

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics or equivalent is required.

  • Prior experience at US Foods or in a shared services environment.

  • Familiarity with Managed Services models or outsourced reporting functions.

  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and standards.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between

$95,000 - $155,000
