Embrace Pet Insurance is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Analytics

This is a hybrid role based in our Cleveland, OH office

Embrace Pet Insurance, a subsidiary of IPH, is leading the way in redefining pet health insurance in the U.S. We’re committed to open and honest communication, products that earn the trust of our Embraced pet parents, and customer service that’s both personal and professional.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Data Analytics to lead Embrace Pet Insurance's enterprise analytics function and serve as the organization's internal analytics consulting leader. This role will oversee enterprise reporting, business intelligence, strategic analysis, executive decision support, and analytics enablement across all business functions.

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will lead and develop a high-performing team of analytics professionals while partnering closely with executive leadership and department stakeholders to transform data into actionable business insights. This leader will play a critical role in shaping enterprise reporting strategy, advancing self‑service analytics capabilities, fostering a data‑driven culture, and ensuring analytics serves as a strategic business partner rather than simply a reporting function.

The role's scope includes enterprise reporting, analytics strategy, Power BI modernization, stakeholder partnership, team leadership, business intelligence, executive reporting, marketing analytics support, and collaboration with Data Engineering and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Analytics Strategy & Leadership – Lead the organization’s enterprise analytics function and establish a scalable reporting and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and organizational priorities.

  • Enterprise Reporting & Business Intelligence – Oversee the development, enhancement, and governance of enterprise reporting solutions within Power BI, ensuring consistency, usability, and adoption across business functions.

  • Team Leadership & Development – Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a team of analytics professionals by establishing clear expectations, building technical and business acumen, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Business Partnership & Consulting – Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization, helping departments identify opportunities, answer critical business questions, and leverage analytics to drive informed decision‑making.

  • Executive Reporting & Decision Support – Develop executive dashboards, performance reporting, and strategic analyses that support leadership decision‑making and organizational performance management.

  • Marketing Analytics & Customer Insights – Partner with marketing leadership to deliver analytics, customer insights, performance measurement, and growth‑focused reporting that support acquisition, retention, and customer experience initiatives.

  • Reporting Modernization & Self‑Service Analytics – Expand self‑service reporting capabilities, improve data accessibility, and establish best practices that empower business users to leverage analytics confidently and effectively.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting infrastructure, accessibility, and analytics effectiveness throughout the organization.

  • Insight Generation & Strategic Analysis – Conduct and oversee advanced analyses that identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business drivers while translating findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Data Visualization & Governance – Establish reporting standards, visualization best practices, and governance frameworks that improve consistency, trust, and business adoption of analytics across the enterprise.

  • Change Leadership & Analytics Culture – Champion a data‑driven culture by increasing analytics adoption, influencing business decisions, and helping stakeholders incorporate data into strategic planning and daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or decision support functions.

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing, developing, and mentoring analytics, business intelligence, or reporting teams.

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise analytics initiatives that support multiple business functions rather than a single department.

  • Advanced expertise with Power BI, including enterprise reporting strategy, dashboard development, and visualization best practices.

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and senior stakeholders to influence strategy and business decisions through data‑driven insights.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and consulting skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear business recommendations.

  • Experience working within the insurance industry or supporting insurance‑related analytics functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing business demands, and drive outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking capabilities with a focus on measurable business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Experience within Property & Casualty, Pet Insurance, or broader insurance organizations.

  • Experience supporting marketing analytics, customer analytics, retention analytics, or growth‑focused business functions.

  • Proficiency with Azure, Databricks, SQL, or modern data platform environments.

  • Experience implementing self‑service business intelligence programs, reporting modernization initiatives, or data governance frameworks.

What Success Looks Like

  • An enterprise analytics function that is viewed as a trusted strategic partner across the business.

  • High adoption and utilization of Power BI reporting and self‑service analytics capabilities.

  • Strong relationships with executive and departmental leaders who rely on analytics to guide business decisions.

  • A high‑performing analytics team with growing technical, business, and leadership capabilities.

  • Improved reporting standards, data accessibility, and enterprise‑wide consistency in metrics and insights.

  • Measurable business outcomes driven by analytics recommendations, strategic insights, and stakeholder engagement.
