Job summary

Information Technology Senior Management Forum seeks a senior data analytics leader to guide enterprise risk and compliance testing analytics. You will own tooling and analytic strategy, plan and drive analytics projects, and act as a liaison between engineers, data scientists, analysts and legal/compliance teams.

Required are 5+ years of data analytics with open source technologies and experience in statistical modeling; leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field plus 5+ years of data analytics experience.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in statistical or econometric analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data risk and Compliance Testing analytics across teams to shape testing strategy.
• Own the Compliance Testing tooling and analytical roadmap.
• Plan and execute Compliance Testing analytics projects and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and collaborate with technical and non-technical partners.

Job description

Lead enterprise data risk and Compliance Testing analytics by partnering across technical and non-technical teams to build current and future testing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the current and future Compliance Testing tooling and analytical strategy
• Plan and execute Compliance Testing analytical projects
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams (Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts) and non-technical stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Executive Board)
• Evaluate analytical tool technical issues and assess tool risks and opportunities
• Independently research, identify, and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytical tools
• Communicate results clearly through verbal updates and written reporting (reports and presentations)
• Use education, colleagues, and training opportunities to develop solutions to business problems
• Coach and mentor junior staff

Requirements

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related) plus at least 7 years of experience performing data analytics
• OR currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master’s Degree plus at least 5 years of experience performing data analytics, with expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
• At least 5 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
• At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies
• At least 2 years of experience managing people

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field
• At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics hands-on work

• At least 5 years in the financial services industry
• At least 5 years developing statistical or econometric models
• At least 5 years validating statistical or econometric models
• At least 2 years with data governance
• At least 2 years with predictive analytics

Salary

• McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 per year
• Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 per year

Incentives

• Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation including cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI)
• Incentives may be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan
