About This Role:In this role you will lead a large team of experienced Accounting professionals or team leaders, overseeing general accounting processes such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and / or balance sheet management. Develops and maintains accounting principles and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Corporate Accounting: Manage general accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as a key liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation for auditors.
  • Internal Controls: Strengthen financial controls by evaluating and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Drive the period, quarter, and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with appropriate policies and the accuracy of financial data within reporting deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, streamline financial reporting, and support digitization initiatives.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Provide financial insights and reporting support to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a large enterprise organization.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. 7+ years of combined Public and Private accounting experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Competencies: Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting processes, technical accounting, and delivering strategic financial analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel skills.
