Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Manager for Revenue Assurance to lead revenue recognition policies and guidance globally, with emphasis on US GAAP compliance.

You will partner with Pricing, Finance, and Legal to structure contracts, review complex transactions, coach teams, and drive process improvements. Candidates should have 7–10 years in finance focused on ASC 606 and ASC 842.

Qualifications

• Degree with a focus in business or accounting.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7-10 years of finance experience focused on revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Experience with lease accounting ASC 842 is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong analytical, Excel and communication skills.

• Ensure compliance to DXC Policy & US GAAP. ASC 606 and 842.
• Review customer arrangements to determine proper revenue recognition.
• Partner with Pricing, Finance, and Contracts/Legal to structure contracts for revenue objectives.
• Review and approve revenue treatment documentation for team members and large transactions.
• Collaborate with controllership and auditors on revenue dispositions.
• Provide revenue recognitions training to stakeholders.
• Lead strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects in revenue assurance.
• Support existing deals with Revenue Recognition queries.
• Mentor/Coach and develop new joiners.

About The Role

As an integral part of the Global Revenue Assurance team, the Sr Manager provides leadership, development and application of consistent revenue recognition rules, policies and assist in documenting accounting guidance for DXC's revenue generating activities on a global basis with specific reference to US GAAP. You will ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding contracts, systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance to DXC Policy & US GAAP. ASC 606 and 842.
• Review customer arrangements to determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
• Partner with company stakeholders, including Pricing, Finance, and Contracts/Legal teams to assist internally in the structuring of contracts to support revenue recognition objectives.
• Review and approve revenue treatment documentation of team members, as well as helping to document revenue treatment for larger, more complex transactions.
• Working with controllership and auditors on acceptance of the revenue dispositions.
• Provide revenue recognitions training to all stakeholders.
• Provide strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects to the company in the area of revenue assurance.
• Support existing deals with Revenue Recognition queries.
• Provide coaching to increase revenue recognition awareness.
• Mentor/Coach and develop new joiners.

Who You Are

• Degree with a focus in business or accounting;
• advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
• 7-10 years of finance experience, with a focus in revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Experience with lease accounting ASC 842 is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in US without requiring sponsorship now nor in the future.
• Knowledge And Skills Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and ability to research relevant Accounting Standards Codification (ASC).
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent business application/spreadsheet skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Superior teamwork skills, as well as ability to operate independently.
• Strong business acumen.
• Good project management skills.
• Self-starter, responsible, accountable.

Work Environment

If you live within 40 km (25 miles) of a DXC office, you are expected to work onsite at least two days per week. Hiring anywhere within US - Preferred location Eastern or Central.
