Job Summary:

The Consumer & Advertiser Insights group within Disney Advertising manages custom/primary research, thought-leadership, data analysis, and insights development for advertising partners across Disney’s media portfolio, including Disney/Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, FX, Nat Geo, and Freeform. The team supports various media types such as TV, Digital, and Social.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  2. Design research efforts aligned with strategic goals, considering insight use cases like internal strategy, external sharing, or sales.
  3. Manage the research process, including vendor interactions, research design, data analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings to stakeholders.
  4. Promote thought leadership internally and externally, including presenting insights at industry events.
  5. Manage two survey panels, including survey development, deployment, data analysis, and reporting.
  6. Create research-based content for the Disney Insights Hub, including articles, infographics, and collaborating with marketing and legal teams.
  7. Handle internal ad-hoc requests by analyzing data and communicating insights clearly.
  8. Support internal stakeholders across various departments, including sales, marketing, and leadership.
  9. Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to enhance insights and solutions.
  10. Communicate project updates to leadership and collaborate on dissemination strategies.
  11. Coordinate with legal and finance teams on contracts and invoicing.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in primary/custom research, managing both qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Experience in advertising, media, or entertainment research, with a focus on advertising.
  • Proven project management and data analysis skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing external research agencies.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and culture.
  • Knowledge of media tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, MRI, Omniture) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data, analytics, and legal/privacy considerations is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
