Job summary

Kalos Consulting is seeking a Senior Manager Consulting Actuary, Reserving, to join our actuarial leadership team. You will work on self-insured client analyses, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure clear client communication. You will review deliverables and mentor staff, delivering high-quality exhibits and written findings.

The role emphasizes technical accuracy, client presentations, and business development to grow client relationships across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting experience focused on Property and Casualty clients.
• Expertise in reserving and a range of actuarial projects (pricing/ratemaking, predictive modeling, economic capital modeling, loyalty rewards programs).
• Demonstrated success in communication and business development (internal/external selling; client interactions).

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze complex problems and develop workable solutions for self-insured clients, taking ownership of day-to-day project management responsibilities.
• Review and validate the work of deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and integrity on analyses, templates and exhibits.
• Oversee training, development and mentorship of staff, fostering career growth and advancement.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality exhibits and written reports to present findings and recommendations to clients.

The Role You will Play

• The Senior Manager Consulting Actuary, Reserving will work as part of a team of professionals to independently analyze complex problems and develop workable solutions for self-insured clients, taking ownership of day-to-day project management responsibilities, ensuring seamless client communication and successfully leading client meetings.
• This role will review and validate the work of deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and integrity on a wide variety of analyses, templates and exhibits.
• The Senior Manager Consulting Actuary, Reserving actively oversees the training, development and mentorship of staff, fostering their career growth and professional advancement through the company.
• This role is entrusted to prepare and deliver high-quality exhibits and written reports to effectively present findings and recommendations to clients.
