Job summary

Kalos Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Manager Actuary - Reserving to join our actuarial consulting team. You will lead project management, client communications, and deliver high-quality reserving analyses for self-insureds, captives and (re)insurers.

You will validate technical work, mentor staff, and present findings through professional exhibits and reports to clients in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting experience focused on Property and Casualty clients, including self-insureds, captives, and (re)insurers.
• Expertise in reserving.
• Experience in a range of actuarial projects including pricing/ratemaking, predictive modeling, economic capital modeling, and loyalty rewards programs.
• Demonstrated success in business development/selling/client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and take ownership of day-to-day project management responsibilities.
• Review and validate deliverables for technical accuracy and integrity across analyses, templates and exhibits.
• Oversee training, development and mentorship of staff.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality exhibits and written reports to present findings and recommendations to clients.

The Role You will Play

• The Senior Manager Consulting Actuary - Reserving will work as part of a team of professionals to independently analyze complex problems and develop workable solutions for self-insured clients, taking ownership of day-to-day project management responsibilities, ensuring seamless client communication and successfully leading client meetings.
• This role will review and validate the work of deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and integrity on a wide variety of analyses, templates and exhibits.
• The Senior Manager Consulting Actuary - Reserving actively oversees the training, development and mentorship of staff, fostering their career growth and professional advancement through the company.
• This role is entrusted to prepare and deliver high-quality exhibits and written reports to effectively present findings and recommendations to clients.
