Salary Range: USD $111,700.00 - $145,200.00 per year

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Ability to travel to Japan or overseas as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clients with relevant, actionable, and customized brand, category, and product solution analyses based on overseas best practices.
  • Offer insights across merchandising, operations, supply chain, category management, and product development.
  • Engage with clients and internal teams to understand strategies and objectives.
  • Prioritize tasks focusing on strategic activities that deliver strong ROI.
  • Deliver comprehensive category reviews, product innovation proposals, and reports including industry and trend analyses.
  • Utilize data metrics, tools, and analytics to identify opportunities and deliver insights.
  • Develop compelling presentations focusing on storytelling, visualizations, and consumer insights.
Required Skills and Background
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, product development, business analytics, or consumer research.
  • Experience in the Discount Retail Channel in a corporate or store operations role.
  • Understanding of principles and practices of Category Management.
  • Experience with syndicated and non-syndicated data resources, ability to derive insights from data.
  • Proficiency with Nielsen and Homescan data platforms; IRI experience is a plus.
  • Strong grocery retailer acumen and knowledge of best-in-class retailers.
  • Excellent presentation and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, Teams.
  • Effective team collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking independently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Proactive, positive, and self-starting attitude.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior management.
  • Strong global and intercultural fluency, adaptability to different cultural perspectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities

- No direct supervisory responsibilities, but may guide and mentor indirect reports.
