Job Overview


The Sr. Manager of AR and Reporting will report to the SVP, Finance and will be responsible for managing all of Mitratech's AR and associated reporting and will lead the global Collections team. This role will focus on accurate AR reporting - leveraging analytics to drive insights and improve AR, ensuring effective credit and collections processes are established and maintained and driving down bad debt. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven, with a strong background in collections, AR accounting, and team leadership.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Credit & Collections



  • Oversee theend-to-end collections process, ensuring timely and effective collection of outstanding receivables.

  • Develop and implementcollections strategiesto reduce delinquency rates and improve cash flow.

  • Monitor and manageaging reports, identifying high-risk accounts and taking appropriate action to resolve overdue balances.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Customer Success, Legal) to resolve disputes, negotiate payment plans, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Managecollections agency relationships, including the placement and recovery of delinquent accounts.


AR Reporting and Analysis:



  • LeadAR accounting functions, including reconciliation, reporting, and audit support.

  • Prepare and analyzeAR aging reports,cash flow forecasts, andbad debt provisions.

  • Develop and maintainkey performance metricsand dashboards to track collections and AR performance.

  • Conduct in-depthdata analysisto identify trends, root causes of delinquency, and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on AR and collections analytics.


Team Leadership and Development:



  • Lead and mentor a global team ofCollections SpecialistsandAR Accountants, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

  • Provide individualized coaching and guidance through regular1:1sand ongoing performance discussions.

  • Future opportunity to lead and develop cash application team and processes available.


Process Optimization and Documentation:



  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation ofcollections workflows,AR policies, andsystem configurations.

  • Identify, develop, and implementprocess enhancementsto improve efficiency and scalability in collections and AR operations.

  • Collaborate with theBizApps teamto optimize and fully utilize collections and AR tools, driving greater efficiency and continuous improvements.


Audit and Compliance:



  • Manage the Bad Debt Expense and Allowance provision for Doubtful Accounts, collaborating with the Accounting team where appropriate to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditsrelated to collections and AR.

  • Review and approve refunds, journal entries,bad debt write-offs, and other collections-related transactions.


Requirements & Skills:



  • 8+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or financial operations, with at least 3 years managing a team.

  • Extensive knowledge ofcollections processesandaccounts receivable accounting, including experience with external audits.

  • Skilled atleading and developing globally distributed teams, fostering collaboration, growth, and high performance.

  • Strong understanding ofcollections systems, ERP tools, and reporting platforms. Prior experience withNetsuiteandSalesforceis required.

  • Experience developing reporting and dashboards, leveraging business intelligence tools where appropriate.

  • Excellentproblem-solving skillswith a keen eye for detail.

  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skillsfor cross-functional collaboration.


Compensation


Mitratech remains committed to equitable and transparent pay practices. Final base salary offered may vary from the range listed and will be determined after carefully considering multiple factors during the hiring process, including location, relevant experience and education, required competencies and skill proficiency level, and review of internal equity. We encourage candidates to apply even if they may not meet all listed requirements.


We will disclose intended pay ranges in our job ads for US-based opportunities- This role can be performed 100% remote anywhere in the US. Anticipated Pay of: $110,000 Annually USD


Total compensation includes US employee benefits, and annual bonus eligibility.
