What Will You Be Doing?

The Senior Manager, Ancillary reports to the Senior Director, Pricing and Yield Management and owns Frontier’s ancillary pricing and product portfolio, including bundles, seats , bags, and optional services. Ancillary is Frontier’s highest-leverage revenue line that does not depend on fare, and this role is accountable for growing ancillary revenue per passenger in a way that supports Frontier’s broader strategy to win on value, experience, and loyalty.

The Senior Manager owns the economic trade-offs between ticket and ancillary revenue, price and attach rate, bundle and à la carte mix, and short-term revenue and long-term customer value. The role leads a team of analysts in an AI-forward operating model, where routine pricing execution, monitoring, and reporting are increasingly handled by models and AI agents, and the team’s time is focused on judgment, opportunity identification, testing, and strategy.

Essential Functions
  • Own ancillary pricing strategy and execution across bundles, seats, bags, Wi-Fi, and other fees, making economic trade-offs on a total revenue basis in partnership with Pricing and Yield Management
  • Identify and size opportunities to optimize ancillary prices using booking, attach, customer, and competitor ticket and ancillary price data, and turn them into prioritized, quantified recommendations
  • Own the development and continuous improvement of ancillary dynamic pricing models (including Navitaire Dynamic Pricing offers), with clear guardrails and analyst override where judgment adds value
  • Use test-and-learn framework, performance monitoring, and variance analysis to continuously improve pricing outcomes and ancillary revenue per passenger
  • Use AI, automation, and data (e.g., Databricks/Genie, Power BI, Copilot) to eliminate manual work, improve speed and accuracy, and shift team capacity to higher-value analysis and decisions
  • Own the ancillary product portfolio end to end, defining each product's role, how it performs, and the changes needed to support Frontier's strategy and financial goals
  • Develop and build business cases for new ancillary products and product changes, and lead them through cross‑functional approval, launch, and post‑launch performance tracking
  • Partner with Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Loyalty, Distribution, IT, and vendors so products are presented, priced, and sold consistently across channels
  • Clearly communicate ancillary strategy, pricing changes, and performance to senior leadership and impacted teams, including concise executive‑level materials
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, setting clear expectations and accountability, and act as a leader across cross‑functional groups to drive decisions through implementation
Other Functions
  • Support Total Revenue Optimization initiatives across Pricing and Revenue Management
  • Ensure pricing changes are executed accurately, with appropriate controls, audit trail, and change communication
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, Aviation Management or related analytical field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred; combination of education and relevant experience considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • 5+ years of experience in airline pricing, revenue management, ancillary revenue, commercial analytics, and/or finance
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing or a similar field with demonstrated revenue impact; experience with dynamic or machine learning‑based pricing strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of people‑leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience using AI and automation to improve analytical workflows preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong command of pricing economics, including elasticity, willingness to pay, segmentation, bundling, cannibalization, and total revenue trade‑offs
  • Knowledge of airline commercial metrics (e.g., RASM, TRASM, ancillary revenue per passenger, attach and take rate, load factor), economics, and revenue principles
  • Sound commercial judgment; able to make decisions with imperfect data and explain the rationale
  • Advanced SQL; Python preferred; advanced Excel
  • Experience with Databricks (including Genie) or similar cloud data platforms, and Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Navitaire experience preferred, including ancillary fee and offer configuration and Navitaire Dynamic Pricing; familiarity with Plusgrade and competitor fare and ancillary data sources a plus
  • Experience developing or overseeing ML pricing models, experimentation, and AI agents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot; Copilot Studio and Azure DevOps experience a plus
  • Product and roadmap management skills; able to prioritize ruthlessly and drive cross‑functional execution
