The Sr. Maintenance Technician ensures equipment uptime through timely troubleshooting and repair of all equipment failures. They share knowledge of all production equipment with the maintenance team and Operators, acting as a subject matter expert in areas such as injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
The Sr. Maintenance Technician performs troubleshooting and repairs on facilities and auxiliary equipment, including chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis, and other water filtration equipment. They work directly with Maintenance Technicians, machine Operators, Supervisors, and Managers to resolve mechanical issues and develop best practices aligned with Niagara's maintenance strategies.
Through preventative and predictive maintenance, they champion continuous improvement and assist in training team members.
Additional responsibilities include training and leading operators, developing and executing improvement projects, rapid problem identification, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer in bottling and injection technology areas, creating SOPs, and ensuring equipment reliability.
Regular attendance and on-call availability are essential to ensure equipment and facility uptime. Duties may change over time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Additional skills include effective communication, reading schematics, operating shop equipment, and proficiency with measuring tools. Willingness to lead and train others is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Other preferred skills include fabrication, electrical systems, and schematic interpretation.
Focus on safety, continuous improvement, interdepartmental understanding, and personal development, aligned with Niagara's LIFE competency model.
