Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead a shift and support the maintenance of conveyors, sortation systems, and robotic equipment in a client facility. You will guide fellow technicians and partner with Automation Engineer support to maximize equipment reliability and performance.

Your role includes preventative maintenance focus, mentoring staff, and solving complex electrical/control issues, while building strong client relationships and maintaining

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with automated conveyors and controls.
  • Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with NEC and industrial electronics.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with PLC programs and control components.
  • 3+ years of work order management.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain and improve MHE and robotic systems.
  • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Install and troubleshoot relay logic and control components.
  • Lead and mentor work plans for emergency repairs and training.
  • Create and close work orders in CMMS.
  • Collaborate with client and operations teams to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following procedures.

About The Role

In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a client facility. As a Maintenance Technician III you’ll be a key leader in running a shift and providing guidance to fellow technicians and Automation Engineer support partners.

Your expertise will be utilized in the optimization and execution of the preventive maintenance process, with a focus on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, SCADA devices and programs.

You will provide our client with expert-level support based on the technical problems related to their MHE systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair, maintain, and continuously improve functionality of materials handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.
  • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Install, maintain, and solve relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
  • Lead and mentor work plan for emergency repair of critical assets and training plans for Maintenance Technicians.
  • Build and close out work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
What You’ll Need
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 4+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
  • Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or industrial electronics.
  • Ability to conduct preventative & procedure-based maintenance.
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
  • 3+ years of work order management.
  • Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment to run metrics such as OEE/Up Time to prioritize accordingly.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50lbs. or more.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent OR 2+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous vendor management experience.
  • Experience with robotic maintenance.
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Certification preferred in one or more of the following: electronic, electrical, mechanical, access control servers, PLCs, process controls, robotics, or mechanical power transmissions.
