Job summary

Pretium Packaging - USA in Manchester, PA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations. The role supports continuous uptime and equipment reliability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues, read blueprints and schematics, use diagnostic tools, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, testing, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
• Support plant shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects as needed.
