Job summary

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; perform general facility maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Repair and replace equipment; keep records of maintenance and repairs.
• Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Demonstrate required technical skills and perform tasks such as painting, roof repair, and basic grounds upkeep as needed.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining and repairing production equipment in a fluid environment. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.

Illustrative Duties

• Responsible for general repairs of the facility including, but not limited to, painting, roof repair, snow removal, and other miscellaneous repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate familiarity with all equipment and maintenance procedures:
• Preventative maintenance
• Break down repair
• Replacement of equipment
• Record keeping
• Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, dock shelter repair, basic grounds upkeep, fork lift repair, etc.
• Demonstrate required technical skills for the job

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Requires a 2-year Electrical or Technical degree and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have mechanical and electrical skills. A strong knowledge of PLC preferred.
