Job summary

Whistle Express Car Wash is looking for a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor to lead field-based maintenance across multiple sites. You will coach technicians, prioritize critical repairs, and ensure safe, reliable operation of all equipment.

This hands-on leadership role requires in-the-field supervision, thorough inspections, and ensuring preventive maintenance is completed accurately and documented to standard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant trade certifications helpful.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly across an assigned geographic market.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead, coach, and support technicians across locations.
• Strong communication and safety-focused mindset.

Job description

The equipment that runs a Whistle Express site is complex, constantly moving, and critical to the guest experience. As a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for making sure that equipment stays reliable across an assigned market. You lead Maintenance Technicians, prioritize the work that matters most, and help sites stay open, safe, and operating at standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You are not just assigning work from a distance. You are in the field, coaching technicians, inspecting repairs, supporting difficult troubleshooting, and making sure preventive maintenance is completed the right way. When equipment issues create risk for downtime, safety, or guest experience, you help bring structure, urgency, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Maintenance Technicians across multiple sites within an assigned market.
• Prioritize repair requests based on safety, guest impact, site downtime, and operational need.
• Diagnose and support resolution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, chemical, conveyor, vacuum, and wash tunnel equipment issues.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is completed on time, documented accurately, and performed to standard.
• Conduct site visits, field audits, and quality checks to verify repair quality and equipment condition.
• Coach technicians in troubleshooting, repair standards, safety practices, and proper use of tools and parts.
• Partner with site and market leaders to communicate equipment status, downtime risks, repair timelines, and follow-up needs.
• Manage parts, tools, vendor coordination, and market-level inventory needs to support timely repairs.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and serve as an escalation point for extended downtime or complex repairs.
• Support new site openings, equipment installations, and market-level maintenance initiatives.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic processes, and repair documentation.
• Ability to lead, coach, schedule, and support technicians across multiple locations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and determine practical solutions.
• High attention to detail, especially in inspections, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and repair quality.
• Clear communication skills and ability to partner effectively with site leaders, market leaders, vendors, and technicians.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through in a fast-paced field environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant trade, technical, or equipment certifications are helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regular across an assigned geographic market.

Work Environment

• Works across multiple Whistle Express locations within an assigned market.
• Regularly works in active car wash environments with moving equipment, water, chemicals, vehicles, and varying weather conditions.
• May require evenings, weekends, or on-call response based on business needs or emergency repairs.
• Requires physical work including standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and working around mechanical equipment.
