Sr. Maintenance Specialist - CNG Install & Maintenance

What You Will Do

• Perform an advanced level of work related to installation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment using compressed natural gas.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles and equipment that use CNG including:
• Internal combustion, diesel, and natural gas-powered engines
• Refueling/compressor stations (commercial and home units)
• Mass flow meters
• CNG fired boilers
• Electronic safety control systems, fuel dispensers, and sequential and priority panels
• Train and direct company and noncompany fleet mechanics in CNG vehicle conversion/installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Drive company CNG vehicle to various trade shows, meetings, and conferences; promote CNG usage and answer related questions.
• Consult with company employees, city and state officials, vendors, and other companies\' fleet owners, managers, and mechanics/operators regarding CNG vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain and prepare reports and records including:
• CNG usage reports
• CNG maintenance records, work orders, and reports
• Expense reports
• Mileage reports
• Time sheets
• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
• Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Need

• Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and applicable equipment. Experience and training related to:
• Automotive engine repair
• Compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle conversion
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of CNG refueling equipment
• Electronics
• Company and governmental operating/safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining job schedules/priorities

Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Apply decimals and percentages. (Tested) Converts natural gas volumes to liquid capacities.

Experience in reading and interpreting governmental codes and standards, work repair orders, blueprints, schematics, dials, gauges, equipment specifications, warranties, wiring diagrams, and vehicle and equipment manuals.

Read and write fluently in English.

Minimum State Alternative Fuel license

Minimum CDL driver\'s license with Haz Mat

Lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 15 20 times a day; up to 20 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 30 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 40 pounds 5 10 times a day; over 50 pounds 5 10 times a day.

Drive for extended periods.

React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.

Operate tools and equipment required.

Communicate and exchange information or instructions including use of car telephone and company two-way radio.

Distinguish between colors.

Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.
