Job summary

Liquidia is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Specialist to lead maintenance planning, CMMS administration, asset readiness, and reliability improvement for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

This role serves as the site owner for Blue Mountain RAM and ensures compliant maintenance programs and documentation to support GMP readiness. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Validation, Metrology, Operations, and external service providers to support startup,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 12+ years of relevant regulated manufacturing experience; or
• Associate’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or
• High School diploma/GED with 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience in maintenance, facilities, reliability, metrology, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer Blue Mountain RAM, including asset records, PM plans, work orders, maintenance documentation, reporting, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, task lists, job plans, and procedures based on equipment requirements, performance history, and site procedures.
• Manage preventive, corrective, and emergency work orders from creation through compliant closure.
• Analyze equipment history, reliability data, and maintenance trends to improve PM effectiveness, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance strategies.
• Support CMMS configuration, upgrades, user training, process standardization, and controlled system changes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure new or modified equipment is added to the maintenance program before operational use.
• Ensure maintenance activities and documentation comply with GMP/GLP, SOPs, ALCOA+, data integrity, and regulatory expectations.
• Support audits, deviations, CAPAs, investigations, change controls, and equipment-related issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to Maintenance Specialists, Technicians, and site personnel.
• Participate in commissioning, qualification, facility startup, asset turnover, GEMBA walks, reliability reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Sr. Maintenance Specialist leads maintenance planning, CMMS administration, asset readiness, and reliability improvement for manufacturing equipment, facility systems, utilities, and laboratory equipment. This role serves as the site owner for Blue Mountain RAM and ensures maintenance programs, asset data, work orders, and documentation support GMP compliance and operational reliability.

The position partners cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Validation, Metrology, Operations, and external service providers to support startup, qualification, routine maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Job requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Management, Metrology, or a related technical field with 12+ years of relevant regulated manufacturing experience; or
• Associate’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or
• High School diploma/GED with 15+ years of progressive hands‑on experience in maintenance, facilities, reliability, metrology, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering or serving as a key user of a CMMS, preferably Blue Mountain RAM.
• Experience implementing or optimizing CMMS asset hierarchy, PM programs, and risk‑based maintenance strategies.
• Experience supporting startup, commissioning, qualification, operational readiness, and maintenance programs in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability, KPI development, asset criticality, and Engineering Turnover Packages.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms, asset management, PM development, work orders, scheduling, reporting, and maintenance documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, planning, scheduling, and reliability best practices.
• Working knowledge of GMP, ALCOA+, data integrity, and regulated maintenance documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating cross‑functional activities and supporting small teams.
