Job summary

Liquidia Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team of manufacturing technicians on the 2nd (night) shift in Morrisville, NC. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing sciences to drive process performance, review batch records, and own deviations.

You will ensure GMP adherence, coach staff, manage equipment operation and scheduling, and lead improvements across manufacturing operations while maintaining a first-time-right mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of process development or manufacturing operations experience.
• HS Diploma with 12+ years of manufacturing operations experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a manufacturing technician team to complete all production activities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership qualities to motivate the team.
• Responsible for full operation of manufacturing equipment to support production.
• Monitor the manufacturing process, recording observations and key run parameters and adjust as needed.
• Provide support to manufacturing runs including sampling, material handling, inventory management, batch record review.
• Apply hands-on experience with equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of inventory management, scheduling, sampling, and testing related to manufacturing.
• Identify, define and execute process improvement projects with minimal guidance.
• Understand and follow GMP guidelines and ensure team is trained.
• Draft deviations, CAPAs, investigations, and change controls as needed.
• Work with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and help implement improvements.
• Lead GEMBA walks.
• Assist/Lead manufacturing departmental meeting as required.
• Manage calibrations and work directly with external partners to ensure work is completed on time according to procedures.
• Supervise direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training and planning.

Job summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead manufacturing technicians to support production and process development activities as needed in the manufacturing suites. This role will also work with engineering and manufacturing sciences teams on process performance and ideas for process improvement along with batch record reviews, SOP revisions, and owning deviations.

The Manufacturing team is currently working a 2,2,3 schedule on 12-hour shifts - this position is for 2nd (night) shift.

Job responsibilities

• Leading a manufacturing technician team to complete all production activities.

• Responsible for full operation of manufacturing equipment to support production.
• Monitor the manufacturing process, recording observations and key run parameters as needed, and adjusting the process as necessary within batch record or protocol parameters.
• Provide support to manufacturing runs including sampling, material handling, inventory management, batch record review, equipment cleaning and scheduling of routine runs
• Apply hands-on experience with equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of inventory management, scheduling, sampling, and testing related to manufacturing.
• Identify, define and execute process improvement projects with minimal guidance
• Understand and follow GMP guidelines and ensure team is fully trained.
• Draft deviations, CAPAs, investigations, and change controls as needed
• Work with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and help implement improvements.
• Lead GEMBA walks
• Assist/Lead manufacturing departmental meeting as required.
• Manage calibrations and work directly with external partners to ensure work is completed on time according to procedures.
• Supervise direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training and planning. Assigning and directing work, appraising performance measuring, developing, rewarding and disciplining employees.

Job requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years’ process development/ manufacturing operations experience OR HS Diploma with at least 12 years' manufacturing operations experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Hands-on experience in operation of manufacturing equipment or instrumentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven record of equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to adaptability and flexibility
• Commitment to quality with attention to detail, integrity, ownership and accountability
• Ability to work as part of a cross functional team with manufacturing, research and development, analytical and biology staff on first or second shift.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people and direct day to day activities, objectively evaluate performance, and train and develop team.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to positively motivate teams, especially through periods of change.
