Job summary

Introduction

Join the CPC - Performance Pipeteam in Knoxville as a Senior Maintenance Operator within our Polymers & Specialties division. This role offers a vital opportunity to contribute actively to the operational excellence and reliability of our facilities. As a Senior Maintenance Operator, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing equipment performance to support our commercial business objectives.

We are seeking a committed professional with a robust background in maintenance operations who is ready to bring their technical skills and proactive mindset to a collaborative, safety-conscious work environment. You will engage closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure maintenance activities are delivered effectively and align with company standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Maintenance plans and Spare Parts Strategies are managed, determined and implemented
  • Identifies risks associated with any assigned work prior to execution
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and basic defect elimination in the day-to-day execution of work
  • Performs weekly work order updates with supervision to maintain an active backlog of jobs
  • Utilizes measuring instruments and diagnoses and makes general repairs to production equipment
  • Inspects parts, replacements, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment on a wide variety of equipment
  • Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license with at least 5years of related experience
  • The ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams and blueprints
  • Have an overall positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently while adhering to plant safety requirements
