Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join the Technical Team for the Golden Triangle Polymers facility located in Orange, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the commissioning, startup, and operation of a new sophisticated facility from the ground up.
The Process Control Engineer will support the commissioning and startup of a large‑scale ethylene and polyethylene facility to ensure that new automation and control systems are configured, tested, and ready for reliable operation. This position will maintain and troubleshoot DCS/PLC hardware and software, verify field instrumentation compatibility, implement configuration changes, and support loop checks and functional testing. This role will also help maintain system and instrument databases, provide technical expertise to EPCs and automation teams to ensure implementation of control logic aligns with project designs and control narratives. This position will work closely with operations, instrumentation, analyzer, and project teams to help validate design deliverables, resolve control system issues, monitor system health, and support a safe and successful startup.
