Job summary

Kemin Industries is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and sanitation programs across our operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. You will guide teams, drive productivity, and mentor staff while fostering accountability and growth.

You will collaborate across Production, Engineering, Facilities, and EHS to optimize equipment performance, develop budgets, and implement preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of related technical leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Associate degree with at least 7 years of management experience.
• Proficientwith CMMS andcomputer programs, including Microsoft Office.
• Successful experience with PLCs and BAS controls.
• Detail oriented, with the ability to delegate and prioritize.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, and boiler systems.
• Experience with material handling.
• Technical expert in all maintenance functions, including machine repair, piping, and machine rigging.
• Mechanical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Administer Lockout-Tagout, Confined Space, Hot-Work Procedures, PPE, and other safety-related policies

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities of multiple teams and locations.
• Strategic planning of plant/campus maintenance activities.
• Forecast future maintenance needs and budgets.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Facilities, EHS, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Develop and manage SOPs and preventive maintenance programs.
• Train and develop the maintenance team.
• Lead complex maintenance such as welding, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC work.
• Be on-call for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Support project development and equipment selection.
• Provide input on process improvements and equipment installation.
• Oversee CMMS, KPI analysis, root cause analysis, and uptime tracking.
• Coordinate external resources and maintain inventory and spare parts.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment across functions.
• Proficient with CAD drawings and safety programs; lead safety/emergency response initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of multiple maintenance teams and locations.
• Strategic planning of plant/campus maintenance activities.

• Working closely withProduction, Supply Chain,Engineering, Facilities,EHS, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance, guidelines, and continuous improvements.
• Develop and recommend maintenance budgets.
• Manage and develop SOPs and preventive maintenance programs.
• Train and develop the maintenance team.
• Responsible for completion of complex maintenance activities including welding, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, and related work.
• Available to be on-call and provide phone assistance for troubleshooting breakdowns and correcting problems.
• Assist in project development and equipment selection.
• Provide input with the Engineering team on process improvements and installation of equipment.
• Oversee CMMS system and repairs tomaintainuptime.
• Conduct KPI analysis and root cause analysis.
• Provide advanced technical training to maintenance technicians as needed.
• Coordinate external resources as needed.
• Report and track maintenance functions.
• Track and manage maintenance inventory.
• Tack and manage critical spare parts.
• Accomplish preventive maintenance and repairs within established timelines.
• Coordinate with all other functions to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
• Be proficient with CAD drawings
• Participate in or lead plant/campus-wide safety and emergency response.
