Salary: USD115000 - USD135000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Lead all maintenance operations for production equipment, utilities, refrigeration systems, HVAC, and facility infrastructure.
- Manage and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics while ensuring effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Utilize CMMS software to schedule preventive maintenance, track repairs, and analyze equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage outside vendors and contractors, including service agreements and performance expectations.
- Develop and execute capital improvement and equipment replacement plans, including budgeting and project justification.
- Partner with operations leadership to maintain equipment reliability and maximize plant uptime.
- Respond to equipment failures and maintenance emergencies to minimize production interruptions.
- Support facility risk management initiatives and assist with audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Oversee building systems, grounds, sanitation support systems, shipping/receiving areas, and overall facility maintenance.
- Travel occasionally to support maintenance initiatives at other company locations.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Directly supervise maintenance technicians, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel.
- Provide coaching, training, performance management, and workforce development.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This position is based in a food manufacturing and distribution environment, including refrigerated and frozen production areas. The role requires regular walking, standing, climbing ladders, navigating mechanical spaces, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Exposure to industrial equipment, varying temperatures, noise, and wet conditions is expected. Appropriate PPE is required.
Required
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or industrial environment.
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams and driving equipment reliability initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, facility equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience using CMMS or related maintenance management systems.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration, ammonia systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Understanding of environmental, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
- Experience supporting capital projects, budgets, and equipment upgrades.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance-related software.
Preferred
- Technical certification, trade certification, engineering background, or facility management certification.
- Experience within food manufacturing, cold storage, protein processing, or other highly regulated production environments.
