Position Overview

This position requires expertise in the HVAC and plumbing fields. Responsibilities typically involve previous experience with equipment and procedures. Employees work from general instructions, with some responsibility for task ordering and procedure selection. They may encounter new situations requiring innovative solutions. Safety practices must be followed to protect oneself, colleagues, and the public, and to prevent property damage. This is a bargaining unit position represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable experience
• Seven (7) years of relevant experience in commercial HVAC/plumbing; ten years preferred
• Vocational training, including completion of a federally-approved plumbing/HVACR apprenticeship program, is preferred

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications

• Valid driver's license
• Must obtain a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement within six months
• Journeyperson certificate or master electrician license, in good standing, issued by a recognized authority

Additional Requirements

• Pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check
• Direct deposit or payroll card enrollment
• CDL holders must maintain a current Medical Examiner's Certificate and undergo random drug/alcohol testing
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and days, to ensure continuous operation
