Are you a mainframe expert ready to own and lead mission-critical systems?

We’re looking for a hands-on Mainframe Systems Engineer with deep IBM Z/Series (Z/OS) experience — someone who can take full ownership of our environment, ensure stability, and drive modernization efforts.

Note: This is not a developer or analyst role. We need a true system owner with extensive Z/Series expertise.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and maintain Z/Series operating systems and 160+ subsystems.
• Administer the IBM OnDemand Optical Retrieval system.
• Oversee FTP activity, backups, and system performance tuning.
• Provide ACF2 security, DASD, and Tape subsystem support.
• Lead mainframe disaster recovery testing and system restoration.
• Support COBOL compilation environments and TSO panels.
• Collaborate across IT and business teams to ensure reliability and modernization.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience with IBM Z/Series / Z/OS systems administration.
• Deep understanding of mainframe architecture, subsystems, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with ACF2 security, DASD management, and COBOL compilers.
• Proven success executing DR tests and maintaining high availability.
• Experience with MQ Series and MQIPT a plus.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to run critical infrastructure with minimal oversight.
