Description and Requirements

We help our customers become an Autonomous Digital Enterprise through our IZOT product line, which includes BMC’s Intelligent Z Optimization & Transformation products. These products monitor and manage mainframe systems, focusing on modernization, developer experience, integration, application speed, code quality, security, and operational cost reduction.

The Senior Product Developer is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs including tools, operating systems, APIs, user interfaces, and cross-platform communication. The role requires knowledge of product domain, SDLC, and product development processes.

Ideal candidates will have 5-10+ years of experience in an IBM ISV or OEM environment, with specific expertise in:

• z/OS internals and complex operating system solutions
• Troubleshooting at application and system levels
• Development with 64-bit and 31-bit Assembler, C, and C++
• Mainframe technology skills, multitasking, sysplex environments
• Creating functional designs from business requirements
• Mainframe tools (TSO/ISPF, JCL)
• z/OS internals and structure
• Low-level OS functions and understanding of zLinux and Unix System Services

BMC maintains a strict policy of not requesting any payment for employment. Salary ranges from $108,525 to $180,875, with an average midpoint of $144,700.
