Join Teledyne Imaging Sensors as a Sr. Machinist!
Are you ready to launch your career to the next level? Join our mission-focused team, where we value technical excellence, collaboration, and agility. We’re the world’s leading provider of infrared sensors for space, with customers like NASA, ESA, and the US Department of Defense.
What You’ll Do:
Perform highly skilled tasks using a variety of tools to construct, modify, maintain, calibrate, and repair hardware, equipment and tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Analyze complex blueprints, engineering specifications, and general engineering instructions to plan, setup, and execute work assignments.
Program, operate, and set up CNC machines.
Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
Provide technical expertise and design input to fabrication processes and in-house process support.
What You Need:
Thorough working knowledge of precision inspection tools to confirm work quality and compliance with specifications.
Extensive knowledge of machining aluminum, brass, 300 & 400 series stainless steels, titanium alloys, nickel base alloys, copper, die & tool steels, molybdenum, plastics, composites, machinable ceramics, and graphite.
Integrated math skills (i.e. algebra, geometry, trigonometry) to establish machine setups and execute part designs.
High school diploma and 7-10 years of experience, or Associate's Degree and 5-7 years of experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of machining experience in a machine shop environment and an additional five (5) years working specifically with CNC machines.
U.S. citizenship due to access restrictions.
