Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and deployment of scalable AI solutions, with a strong focus on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). In this role, you will architect modern ML platforms, set best practices for MLOps, and ensure AI systems are compliant and efficient. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to embed advanced machine learning capabilities into real-world applications, while also mentoring junior engineers and championing strategic AI adoption across the organization. This position offers a remote work setup and a competitive market rate with option for long-term extension.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end machine learning platforms and drive automation through robust MLOps pipelines, including monitoring and lifecycle management
• Lead the development of large language model (LLM) features, including prompt engineering, embeddings, and inference optimization
• Design and implement RAG workflows using vector databases to support intelligent assistants and autonomous AI agents
• Build and scale real-time data pipelines and feature stores using Snowflake and Postgres for AI-driven applications
• Deploy containerized and serverless ML models for both internal and client-facing services
• Establish and enforce AI governance, compliance, and ethical deployment frameworks
• Provide hands-on mentorship and leadership in shaping ML standards and practices across the engineering team

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with ML Engineering.
• Advanced expertise in ML tools and frameworks, including Hugging Face, OpenAI, and LangChain.
• Proven experience working with AWS machine learning services and infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of vector database, real-time inference scaling, and observability tools for AI systems.
• Strong background in SQL, data warehousing, and pipeline development (Postgres/Snowflake).
• Proficient in building ETL/ELT pipelines with support for real-time and streaming data.
• Demonstrated ability to influence enterprise-level AI adoption and define long-term ML strategies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
