General Motors in San Francisco is seeking a Sr. Camera ISP Engineer to lead ISP tuning for autonomous vehicle imaging. You will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to define specs, develop software, and evaluate image quality for real-world scenarios.

You will characterize sensors, tune HDR and ISP settings, and collaborate with ML engineers to scale sensing strategies across fleets. Hybrid role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in imaging science, EE, CS, or similar field with 4+ years hands-on ISP tuning.
• Hands-on experience tuning ISP modules – AE, AWB, HDR, noise reduction and sharpness.
• Experience with various ISP architectures and camera development.
• Characterizing image sensors and tuning sensor settings.
• Experience with image quality evaluation software (Imatest) and programming in C/C++ or Python.

We are looking for an expert Sr. Camera ISP Engineer to join our Autonomous Vehicle team and help us build the best self-autonomous system in the world. In this position, you will be part of the Autonomy Interface Software team, which is responsible for developing camera data pipelines for autonomous vehicles. You will interact with camera hardware engineers, embedded software engineers, systems engineers, Embodied AI engineers, technical program managers internally, and various external imager component vendors to ensure high-quality cameras are designed, manufactured, and tuned. You will be working closely with an embedded software team to enable Camera ISP functionality on new hardware.
