Job description

A multi‑state commercial auto insurance carrier seeks a Senior Loss Control Representative to work within the Loss Control department. The primary responsibility is to serve as a backup for overseeing the consultant phone survey program and completing the monthly Accident Trend Analysis (AA) reports for insured customers. When not backing up the primary position, the representative will complete phone surveys within the consultant program and provide limited travel for department meetings and training.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables

• Review consultant reports for accuracy, including appropriate grading, state‑specific questions, and correct punctuation and grammar.
• Work with consultants to improve report quality and approve completed reports and consultant invoices for processing.
• Generate consultant reports by running accurate surveys and assigning surveys to consultants.
• Collaborate with underwriters and other loss‑control staff to answer questions regarding consultant phone survey work.
• Run the AA web report monthly, assist the Regional Manager with analysis, maintain distribution lists, and finalize reports for processing.
• Maintain a current file of upcoming accident analysis reports scheduled semi‑annually, quarterly, monthly, or on special requests.
• Assist the Loss Control Manager with additional duties and projects as directed.
• Establish working relationships with underwriters, claims groups, and other staff to facilitate assignments and submit reports and findings via designated email.
• Participate in department meetings, online seminars, and industry conventions as necessary.
• Complete phone surveys for small limo and long‑haul truck accounts, writing accurate reports with proper grading and state‑specific questions.
• Manage all email, web, and cell phone communication promptly and appropriately.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Skilled in virtual meeting software and comfortable learning custom web reporting tools.
• Knowledgeable in Federal Motor Carrier (U.S. DOT) regulations, preferably including passenger transportation.
