Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Sr Logistics Manager to lead acquisition and logistics efforts for critical defense programs. The role emphasizes developing sustainment plans, evaluating logistics policies, and collaborating across teams to ensure secure, efficient system support for Air Force initiatives.

The position is on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB with travel around 20% and requires an Active Secret clearance with TS eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with extensive logistics/acquisition experience or equivalent.
• Active Secret clearance required with TS eligibility.
• Solid knowledge of DoD acquisition policies and logistics readiness.

Responsibilities

• Apply logistics knowledge to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy.
• Provide expertise in evaluating business rules in AF logistics information systems and developing functional requirements.
• Support Acquisitions via Middle Tier Acquisition Rapid Development.
• Develop Product Support Strategy.
• Develop Life Cycle Sustainment Plan.
• Review program documentation to ensure security requirements are addressed and sustained.
• Utilize USAF supply chain processes and policies for program milestones.
• Work independently and with other team members.
• Perform document review and editing as requested.
• Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings and PMRs.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WLY) is seeking a highly skilled Sr Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Mobility Futures Program Office. The ideal candidate will serve as a SME in acquisition management and logistics, providing critical support to the development and implementation of advanced air-refueling systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Application of logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy
• Provide expertise in conducting technical evaluations of the business rules inherent in AF logistics information systems and in the development of functional requirements
• Support Acquisitions via Middle Tier Acquisition Rapid Development
• Product Support Strategy development
• Life Cycle Sustainment Plan development
• Review program documentation (e.g. concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency/change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained
• Utilize knowledge of USAF supply chain processes, governing policies, manuals, and instructions for implementation for program milestones
• Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
• Perform document review and editing, as requested
• Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings PMRs and other related meetings

Work Environment

• Location: On-Site, Wright-Patterson AFB
• Travel Requirements: Minimal, 20%
• Working Hours: Standard

Required Qualifications

• BS / BA and 10 years of directly related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active Secret with TS eligibility
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining policy to support logistics readiness and SCM for units across the Air Force highly desired.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations
• Proven track record of managing complex acquisition programs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

Desired Qualifications

• Fighter Bomber aircraft experience
• Weapons systems background
