The Senior Logistics Analytics Specialist is responsible for improving the efficiency, scalability, and financial performance of the company's transportation operations through advanced analytics, process engineering, and operational excellence initiatives. This position develops transportation cost models, establishes governance frameworks, standardizes operating procedures, and delivers data-driven insights that optimize carrier performance, freight spend, shipment compliance, and logistics execution. Working cross-functionally with Finance, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, and third-party logistics providers, the role serves as a strategic business partner focused on continuous improvement, transportation visibility, and operational scalability.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor transportation costs, identify freight cost exceptions, and perform data analysis to recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
- Develop standardized transportation cost models by warehouse, shipping region, product category, carrier, and transportation mode to support budgeting and operational decision‑making.
- Establish and maintain pre‑shipment transportation audit processes that proactively identify oversized, overweight, or non‑compliant shipments before dispatch.
- Analyze transportation surcharges, including oversized shipment fees, accessorial charges, and additional handling costs, to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Coordinate carrier freight claims, damage claims, shortage claims, and recovery efforts while maintaining supporting documentation and tracking claim resolution.
- Partner with transportation providers to implement standardized claims procedures, exception reporting, and proactive shipment notifications.
- Analyze carrier performance, freight invoices, transportation spend, service levels, and operational KPIs to identify trends and recommend performance improvements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of transportation audit vendors and freight payment providers using measurable performance metrics and business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports supporting transportation performance, freight cost management, and operational decision‑making.
- Review existing transportation audit, freight payment, and claims management processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, shorten claim resolution cycles, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standardized transportation operating procedures across multiple warehouses, distribution centres, and logistics providers.
- Partner with Packaging Engineering to evaluate packaging specifications and recommend improvements that reduce dimensional weight, transportation costs, and freight damage.
- Collaborate with third‑party logistics providers, carriers, and warehouse operations to improve shipment compliance, freight visibility, and transportation performance.
- Partner with Finance to improve freight cost reporting, transportation accruals, budgeting accuracy, and financial transparency.
- Maintain accurate transportation records, freight documentation, and operational reports in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Support transportation projects, network optimisation initiatives, and other operational improvement efforts as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in transportation, logistics, freight auditing, supply chain analytics, or logistics operations.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in logistics analytics, supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or logistics operations, preferably in eMobility, consumer electronics, or powersports.
- Experience leading enterprise transportation improvement initiatives.
- Experience analyzing transportation costs, freight invoices, carrier performance, and logistics KPIs.
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (SAP preferred), and business intelligence tools.
- Experience building KPIs, dashboards, freight cost models, and standardized operating procedures.
- Experience working with parcel carriers such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation operations, carrier contracts, freight claims, and logistics cost structures.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and project‑management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with a high degree of ownership, execution capability, and a results‑oriented approach.
- Experience working in a multinational company within an international team is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
Physical Demands:
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and data analysis. Occasional travel to warehouses, distribution centres, or logistics partner facilities may be required. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
